Jape - Javascript Psion Emulator

Jape is an emulator for the Psion Organiser Series II written completely in Javascript. I had originally written an emulator in Java, but as Java applets are no longer supported in most browsers, I decided to rewrite it in Javascript. Seeing the wonderful JSSpeccy showed that it was possible.

You can download Jape (web pages, source files, rom/opk/sna files, images) as a single zip file: jape.zip (1.9 MB).

There are still some problems, and things that are not yet implemented:

Bugs:
  • Writing to a paged pack (i.e. 32K or larger) does not work and corrupts the pack.
Todo:
  • Paste text or drag/drop text onto keyboard for typing
  • Sound.
  • Writing/Formatting flash packs.
  • Thesaurus pack.
  • Organiser series 1.
  • Speed control.
  • Top slot devices.
